JDG and AT&T Takes Distracted Driving Messages on the Road

In October, AT&T’s team in Dover teamed up with Jobs for Delaware Graduates (JDG) to spread the word about the dangers of distracted driving during JDG’s first RideSafe Community Day at Caesar Rodney High School.

AT&T volunteers set up the company’s unique virtual reality experience to show what happens if drivers take their eyes off the road to look at their phones. It’s part of the AT&T IT CAN WAIT campaign.

“Jobs for Delaware Graduates is passionate about improving and protecting the lives of Delaware’s youth! With your help, we were able to educate teens on the importance of driver safety and empower them with tools to remain safe on the road,” said Chevonne N. Boyd, community outreach coordinator, Jobs for Delaware Graduates.

“You’re never alone on the road, even when you’re alone in your car,” said Joseph Divis, assistant vice president for AT&T External Affairs in the Mid-Atlantic. “So, set your phone aside, where you can’t see it. Selfies, posts, snaps — they all can wait.”
