IHG Colleagues Empowering Students to Make a Community Impact 

IHG is proud to partner with JAG to encourage conversations around diversity, equity, and inclusion within JAG’s 1,450 programs across the US. The LOVE Project – Lifting Our Voices for Equity – will launch in the 2020 school year, supporting JAG students as they explore social justice issues, identify challenges in their community, and work collectively to make positive change through civic awareness and engagement.   

The purpose of the program is to encourage our youth to think critically about issues that impact them, to provide solutions to problems in their community, to teach essential employability skills, and to get involved in the political process.  

Micro-grants, funded by IHG, will be awarded to select JAG students to help put their LOVE Project ideas into action in their local communities. IHG’s large network of hotels can serve to support the student projects and help share the message of the positive work being done by students locally.

IHG Hotel Partners

We are looking for hotels to sign up to support the students along the way. Interested IHG hotels will be able to connect with local JAG affiliates to offer guidance and support for students participating in the project. Your hotel can work with a local affiliate to find the participation level that works best. Partnership may include activities such as mentorship, volunteering, virtual classroom visits, or helping to spread the word locally about the students’ community projects.

If your hotel is located outside of these areas listed, and you are interested in supporting, virtual opportunities may also be available.
