As the Learning Solutions Manager, Jenn serves as the administrator for the JAG Learning Management System called the Genius. Genius responsibilities include creating and updating content, engaging with users, monitoring activity; as well as maintaining the Genius social media outlets. Close collaboration occurs with the JAG Learning Solutions Designer for recommended training topics, online and in-person content development, assessment tools, accountability and continuous improvement. Jenn’s role is to support JAG students, staff and partners across the network with meaningful and growth-inspiring resources.
Jenn is currently enrolled as a doctoral student in Instructional Design and Performance Technology through Baker University. She received her M.A. in Public Administration from Drake University and her B.A. and A.A. in Business from AIB College of Business.
Previously, Jenn was a Program Director for Upward Bound at Simpson College in Indianola, IA. Upward Bound is a TRIO program funded by the U.S. Department of Education to provide support to high school participants as they prepare for college. Eligible participants are classified as low-income and/or who will be a first-generation college student. Jenn coordinated academic supports and tutoring, mentoring, cultural enrichment activities, career exploration, college visits, financial literacy and much more as the Program Director.
Before returning to JAG full-time in 2020, Jenn worked as a Program Manager for state affiliate, iJAG, until 2017 and has been aiding through occasional contracted projects in the interim.
Jenn brings JAG experience with Project-Based Learning and Employer Engagement, as well as application in a College classroom. Jenn was a College Professor in the Business Administration Department teaching mainly marketing, sales, management, and leadership courses. Jenn served as co-chair to the Assessment Committee, Advisor to the Student Government Association, Faculty member for the Learning Objectives and Compliance Integration Team, and a member of the Culture of Integrity AdHoc Committee.
Jenn received her M.A. in Public Administration from Drake University and her B.S. and A.A. in Business from AIB College of Business in Des Moines, Iowa.
Outside of work, you would see Jenn with a wagon full of Gatorade and snacks as she volunteers as the team mom for all the sports. She also enjoys being the event manager and chauffer for her elementary-aged son’s active social life. Jenn enjoys playing any and all games, but beware—she is highly competitive.
