Karen serves as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships LLC and as a member of the Board of Directors. Karen manages the day-to-day operations of the company’s Dallas office. She oversees the field operations of Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG), an organization managed by Strategic Partnerships that serves 47,000 young people in 32 states. She is also the Deputy Executive Director of HOSA—Future Health Professionals, a 180,000-member national career and technical education organization for students pursuing careers in the health professions. Karen is co-founder of Corporate Education Resources, Inc. (CERI), an association management firm, and Leadership Development Institute, a youth-serving organization that conducted leadership programs at LDI Summer Camps as well as national, regional and state conferences, etc.
As an educator, Karen taught at the secondary level and worked at the Oklahoma State Department of Career and Technical Education as an Assistant State Supervisor. Karen has extensive experience with student organizations and has conducted programs for teachers and students at state, regional, and national levels.
Karen received a Master of Science from Oklahoma State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Karen and Jim Koeninger live in Trophy Club, TX and office in Southlake, Texas and enjoy spending time with their four grandchildren—Quentin (11), Jake (10), Violet (7) and Cole (7).
