Tammy Jones

As Grants Manager, Tammy Jones will implement a grants management process to maintain appropriate reporting, requirements, and stewardship for all National grants and sponsorships. She also coordinates the Kenneth M. Smith Scholarship.

Formerly an English teacher, Tammy found her passion for JAG while serving as a job specialist for 10 years. She then became Assistant State Coordinator for JAG-SC in 2019. Concurrently, she supported JAG National efforts as a National Trainer, Kenneth M. Smith Scholarship Coordinator, PBL creator and editor, and handbook writer/reviewer.

Tammy received her M. Ed. In Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University and B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, with Special emphases in English and Education, with concentrations in Psychology and Journalism from Middle Tennessee State University. Previously, she was an entrepreneur, owning and operating Amber Crafts for 11 years. Currently, she retains her South Carolina teaching credential.

Tammy and her husband Major Dan Jones, US Army retired, have 5 children and 10 grandchildren. They are dedicated to providing a loving home to animals in need, especially seniors.
