Stephanie Foxworth, a December, 2010 GED graduate from J.O.G. our WAY, will be honored as Youth Entrepreneur of the Year for Northeast Ohio by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) at the 2012 Global Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in New York City on Wednesday, April 18. Foxworth created Elaborate Dips, a micro-business that produces and sells specialty, gift-wrapped, chocolate-covered fruit as part of her participation in the JOG (Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates) and Y.O.U. Stephanie’s was judged best among those presented at the JOG-sponsored Akron BizCamp. It was also deemed tops in the E-City region that includes Cuyahoga, Lake, Lorain and Summit Counties.

As part of her award, Foxworth will receive an all-expense paid trip to New York City, a cash award of $500.00, a commemorative award recognizing her as one of NFTE’s top young entrepreneurs and the opportunity to display her business and sell her products to the attendees at a Global Business Expo held immediately before NFTE’s Dare to Dream Gala.
