Nate Bailey is the Global Senior Human Resources Leader for GE Aviation’s Global Engineering Division. In this role he provides strategic HR leadership for the 6,000+ engineers across 22 global sites in Engineering Development Centers and co-located with customers supporting the invention design and servicing of commercial and military new make and overhauled engines, systems and services.
Nate has more than 20 years of experience in GE Human Resources roles across the Financial Services, Healthcare, Media, and Transportation industries.
He began his GE career in 1996 with GE Capital Retail Finance as the HR Manager for their call center. Nate held roles of increasing responsibilities including HR Manager, HR Integration Leader, and VP, Human Resources prior to moving to GE Healthcare in 2010. While in GE Healthcare, Nate helped transform its U.S. Service organization delivery model, reducing cost and increasing productivity for the 4,500 U.S. based employees.
Within the transportation industry, Nate was Senior Executive of Human Resources for GE Aviation’s Supply Chain function where he supported 25,000 employees at more than 80 manufacturing, assembly and engine maintenance sites worldwide before becoming the Chief Human Resources Officer for GE Transportation with 9,000 employees in the rail, mining, marine, stationary and drill ecosystem. In 2019, GE Transportation merged with Wabtec and Nate became the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, providing HR leadership for Wabtec’s 27,000 employees across the P&Ls and functions in 50 countries prior to rejoining GE Aviation in October 2020.
Nate graduated Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations.
