What is the National Career Development Conference (NCDC)?

When does NCDC begin and end?
NCDC begins on Thursday, April 24th, and ends the evening of Saturday, April 26th. Please check out the schedule on the JAG Website. We recommend that groups make arrangements to arrive at the hotel by 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24th, and depart on Sunday, April 27th.
JAGCA Officer Candidates and members of the Nomination Committee, please make arrangements to arrive at the hotel by 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 23rd.
Where is NSLA being held?
Programming will be held at the JW Marriott Indianapolis in Indianapolis, IN, from April 23 – 26, 2024.

Where can I make my hotel reservation?

JAG has secured a discounted rate for NCDC attendees. The room rate per night is $229 plus 17% state and local tax.
What is the deadline to book my hotel reservation?
The hotel reservation deadline is March 24, 2025.
What is the dress code?
For most of the scheduled NCDC programming, we recommend that students dress in business attire. Please refer to the NCDC Schedule for the recommended dress code for each meeting activity.
Are officers/conference attendees required to wear the official JAGCA uniform?
The official JAGCA uniform is not required. Feel free to wear your preferred business professional or business casual attire, as detailed in the conference agenda or on this JAGCA Dress Code Flyer.
To show your JAGCA spirit, consider purchasing a pin or patch to add to your outfit.
What is the weather like in Indianapolis, IN during the meeting dates?
The weather in Indianapolis, IN during late April is typically mild and spring-like. Daytime average temperatures are usually in the 60’s and 70’s, while the evening drops to around 40’s and 50’s. It’s recommended to bring a jacket with you. There is also the possibility of rain during this time so bring an umbrella.
Is there accessibility for persons with disabilities?
The goal of the JW Marriott Indianapolis is to meet every person’s needs. For people who require accommodations, this means providing a fully accessible environment. The hotel complies with the regulations set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). More details can be found on the accessibility portion of the hotel’s website by navigating to the Property Details portion and reviewing the Accessibility Information tab. Please make special arrangements ahead of time by contacting the hotel concierge.

What is the cost of NCDC registration?
$149.00 per participant for CSAs, Affiliate Staff, Specialists, Chaperones, and Youth Participants
How can I register for NCDC?
You can register by filling out the NCDC registration form. Please note that everyone attending NCDC must register.
What is the registration deadline?
The registration deadline is March 15, 2025.

What meals are provided as part of my registration?
Your registration does not include meals. The NCDC schedule includes 5 meal times for food concessions. A meal includes a hot grab-and-go entrée, a side, and a drink. JAG offers the option to prepay for a meal package for $112, which includes a meal during each of the 5 meal times listed. Click here for more information about the menu options. You can purchase a meal package through the registration form.
Please note that offsite food options are available in the hotel and within walking distance of the hotel.
To avoid lines and to ensure your group has a meal during each meal time, we strongly recommend that you pre-purchase the meal plan for each youth and adult in your group. Everyone who purchases a meal plan in advance will receive meal vouchers at registration. The deadline to purchase meal packages for your group is March 15, and no cancellations or refunds can be offered after March 15.

Will I receive a refund if I cancel?
Refunds will be processed on all cancellations received in writing by March 15 at 5:00 PM EDT, excluding a $25 administrative fee. Due to meeting costs, no portion of the registration fee will be refunded for cancellations after March 15. For meeting cancellations, please contact events@jag.org.
What if we need to add, remove, or replace a participant?
Substitutions are allowable until 12:00 PM EDT on March 15, during registration. For meeting substitutions, please contact events@jag.org.
How do I pay my registration fee?
There are 3 options for paying your registration fee and that will be indicated when you complete the registration form. Payment Options:
- Affiliate/State is paying for my fees: Please check with your state’s CSA if they are covering the cost of your registration fees to attend NCDC. If they are, JAG National will invoice your CSA directly.
- Check: If you are paying for your own registration fees and want to pay by check, please select this option when completing the registration form. JAG National will send an invoice to the fiscal party responsible listed on your registration form.
- Credit Card Via Paypal: If you want to pay your registration fee via credit card, please select the PayPal button upon check-out at the end of your registration form.

Where is the JAGCA National Officer Application located?

When is the NCA Officer application deadline?
All documents must be emailed to nca@jag.org by March 15, 2025.
Is there an age requirement for NCA Officers?
NCA Officer candidates can be a JAG participant from any grade level, including current HS Seniors. They must be able to honor the time commitment in the following year, or two in the case of the President-Elect.
Is the CSA representative responsible for submitting the application with the endorsed applicants?
Applications should be emailed to nca@jag.org by the individual applicant. The CSA must sign off on the candidate and/or provide a letter of reference for their candidacy.

What are my transportation options once I arrive?
Please note that the JW Marriott Indianapolis does not provide a shuttle service to the airport.
Parking: The JW Marriott Indianapolis offers both on-site parking and valet parking at the below rates.
- On-Site Parking: $55 per day
- Self-parking entrances are off Maryland St. and Washington St.
- Valet Parking: $75 per day
Rideshare: Rideshare applications like Lyft and Uber offer pickup and drop-off transportation services for passengers at the Indianapolis International Airport. Estimated costs for rideshare to and from the airport and hotel are about $25-30, one way.
Taxicabs: Check with your taxicab company of choice (or with your driver at the airport) for more information on fares and destinations served.

Traveling to a new place or city is exciting! Here are some tips to keep you and your students safe, so you can enjoy all that Indianapolis has to offer.
- Stay Alert and Aware: Remain attentive and aware of your surroundings and avoid being distracted by your phone.
- Keep Valuables Secure: Keep your belongings secure and out of sight, especially in crowded areas. Consider using a cross-body bag or keeping wallets and phones in the front pockets of your pants.
- Plan Your Route: Before heading out, familiarize yourself with the area and plan your route.
- Use Trusted Transportation: Opt for reputable transportation services such as licensed taxis, rideshare apps, or public transit when moving around the city. Verify the identity of your driver and ensure the vehicle matches the description provided.
Stay Connected: Keep connected with the group you are traveling with. Make sure you have everyone’s number and check in with one another throughout the day. Having a group chat is an easy way to keep everyone in the loop and share information.
