Jobs for America’s Graduates Pennsylvania

JAG is a college, career, and workforce-ready program. JAG is an elective class taught in middle schools, high schools, alternative schools and out-of-school centers by a JAG Specialist, who is an employee of the school district, charter school network or centers. JAG utilize the learning strategies called the JAG Advantage to educate, equip and empower students through Project-Based Learning, Trauma Informed Care and Employer Engagement. PBLs are centered on civic awareness, leadership development social interaction, academic performance, career development and professionalism. JAG competencies were developed as the result of employers’ views on desired worker traits and skills, job search reviews and considerable feedback by Specialist.

The overarching purpose of the JAG PA program is to provide participants with classroom and work-based learning experiences that result in a quality job, leading to a fulfilling career after graduation.
