NTS 2017 will be hosted by JAG-Nevada at the South Point Hotel, located south of the Las Vegas Airport.  The registration packet will be posted on the JAG website on or about February 1, 2017.  For planning purposes, the following information will be helpful:

Pre-NTS Professional Development Workshops, Monday, July 10, to Wednesday, July 12, 2017

(Pre-NTS participants should arrive on Sunday, July 9; Pre-NTS concludes by noon on July 12)

2017 National Training Seminar, Wednesday, July 12, to Friday, July 14, 2017

(NTS begins with the Opening General Session at 1:00 pm on Wednesday; NTS concludes by noon on July 14)

The single/double occupancy lodging room rate is comprised of three costs:
·Basic Rate (Sunday through Friday):        $65.00
·Clark County Room Tax (13%):                8.45
·Discounted Resort Fee:                           14.00
 Room Rate per Night                             $87.45

We are planning to offer eight (8) Pre-NTS Professional Development Workshops and sixty (60) best practices workshops.  The registration packet will have more information about the Pre-NTS workshops and the online registration information for Pre-NTS, NTS, Best Practices Workshops, and other opportunities.

We are especially interested in providing opportunities for state and local leaders to learn more about the “Going Deep Strategy” that has been implemented in North Las Vegas to:

·Serve a significant percentage of high school students in a concentrated geographic area with the JAG Model;

·Implement a Youth Employment Plan to cost-effectively boost employment rates of youth, in general, and at-risk and disadvantaged youth, in particular;

·Take advantage of economic development based funding to establish vocational training facilities in manufacturing in partnership with the Clark County School District that benefits North Las Vegas residents including the long-term pipeline for career-bound youth; and,

·Achieve JAG Model standards in North Las Vegas by taking advantage of the public and private partnerships and other initiatives of the Going Deep Strategy.
