Karin Wu

Senior Vice President of Advancement & External Affairs

With more than 30 years of experience across marketing, business development, education, and nonprofit leadership, Karin brings a deep understanding of how integrated advancement strategies fuel long-term sustainability and mission impact. Over the past decade, her work has focused on building and leading teams responsible for strengthening brand experiences and expanding multi-year partnerships with foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Throughout her career, Karin has intentionally chosen roles rooted in service to young people and education—across K–12, postsecondary, and education technology organizations. She is known for building high-performing, collaborative teams and for strengthening relationships across internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure mission, strategy, and execution move forward together.

Karin holds a Master of Arts in Education in Instructional Leadership from Argosy University, a Bachelor of International Business Administration from St. Mary’s University, and an Associate’s in Applied Arts from the Art Institute of Seattle. Prior to joining JAG, Karin served in multiple mission-driven organizations, including Elevo, Think Together, MIND Education/ST Math, Inspire Youth Project, and many more dating back to her first role at Nintendo where she first started volunteering for Junior Achievement. She is fluent in Chinese and Portuguese and is proficient in Spanish. Karin currently resides in Riverside County in Southern California where she enjoys hosting Brazilian barbeques for her extended family, painting, hiking and swimming as often as the weather allows.
