NSLA Opening Leadership Luncheon 

Welcome to the 2025 National Student Leadership Academy, with a welcome lunch exploring what it means to amplify your leadership and help others to innovate solutions for a better future. 

Advocacy Training Workshops with Employer Partners

Employer partners will be embedded as mentors in breakout rooms to provide 1:1 feedback and guidance as youth prepare to meet legislators on Capitol Hill the following day. 

Led by Government Affairs experts, students will:

• Learn how laws are made and how to influence policy
• Practice relationship-building with elected officials
• Deliver advocacy pitches and receive coaching from sponsor mentors
• Participate in mock legislative meetings and role-play exercises

Activation Station Reception with Employer Partners

Following the training, students will circulate through sponsor-hosted Activation Stations — engaging, branded environments arranged in a dynamic, expo-style reception. Each station offers:

• Hands-on activities or challenges
• Insight into your company’s mission, services, or impact
• Branded swag, photo ops, and takeaways
  Direct engagement with JAG’s future workforce

• Branded, interactive experiences designed by your company
• Engaging activities tied to your mission (e.g., games, challenges, swag)
• Career exploration, networking, and relationship-building with youth
• Opportunities for social media amplification and storytelling
